1. Who ever has the better record between us and Texas, will more than likely get home field advantage in the playoffs in the first round. If we tie with them, we need to own a better head to head record.
2. We need to show we can step it up against the top teams in the AL. Sure, we can pound on the Royals, Tigers, Indians and Sox, but we need to show we can step out of our division, or we will just be a one and done again.
Those are the two biggest reasons. I know I said a lot, but it's more quality than quantity.
Hopefully we can go out and get them in these next two games just like we did against the Rays a few weeks back.
That is all the time I have for now (lunch break is over at work) but I will be on here at least 3-4 times a week.

Not to be debbie downer here but the Twins will go one and done. #1 Morneau's brain is fried #2 Twin's do not have elite pitching and in a 5 game series against most the AL teams, they cannot compete with the other AL elite team's pitchers.
Should've traded for Cliff Lee, yes he is struggling right now but as we have seen in the recent past when he is focused at the end of the year the guy is unbeatable.
